Greetings:

       This is John Shore here (Johnny B Dobra).  I love to entertain Seniors because I enjoy and appreciate them a lot.  My mom and my wifes' parents are in senior living and I pop in to see mom several times a week for a visit or an outing.  On many occasions when entertainment is provided at moms' residence, mom and I enjoy a warm drink while smiling and toe tapping with the best of them.
        
       I believe Seniors enjoy Johnny B Dobra is because Johnny enjoys them.  My wish is to help everyone remember the meaningful songs they heard when making their way through life.  For a while, we can all focus on the moment, be encouraged, and have some fun.  In later years when things may fade a bit, music can still strike a chord that touches a person.

       My repertoire covers material popular from 1950 to the 1970s.  This includes, to name a few artists , Roy Orbison, Elvis, Ray Charles, Glen Campbell,
Johnny Cash, Tom Jones, Englebert, and to name a few genres, Motown, Rock, Doowop, Country, and many more.

       I am a 45 year musical veteran of sound and performance production.  I have live performance experience at Seniors' facilities, charity and corporate events, open mike, open jams, worship team, and teaching, including perhaps 20000 hours of self practice (please excuse the stats; I am also a retired electrical engineer).

     My equipment includes two PA systems which can be adapted from small to medium sized venues, 12 guitars, 1 bass, 4 guitar/bass amplifiers, microphones, many effects devices, and a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) for instrumental accompaniment.  With this setup I provide a surprisingly 'large' sound for a single individual.  I also understand good audio techniques so the entire room hears a clear, warm sound without excessive volume (particularly important for folks with hearing aids).
